We offer pre-payment plans April-August that allow customers to pre-pay in the summer to offset the cost of fuel during the winter months. 
Fuel prices fluctuate everyday so we don't want to estimate you in at a higher set price per gallon but we can allow you to decide (or we can provide you with an estimate like $225/month) how much you want to pay ahead each month. Then we will credit your account like a savings account.

If you prefer to mail in a check, you can print out one of the forms below depending on whether you wish to make a one time payment or if you want to make monthly recurring payment.

Pre-Pay Online

  • Budget Plans / Capped / Fixed Pricing

    At this time, we do not offer budget plans, capped pricing, or fixed pricing.

    Instead, we encourage customers to create their own simple, flexible budget — and the easiest way to manage that is through your online portal.

    You can request your last two years of account history from us, divide your total by 24, and set aside that amount each month. Many customers deposit those funds into a savings account, then transfer the money when they’re ready to place an order during the heating season — allowing you to earn interest and avoid additional fees.

    Your online portal makes this even easier. You can log in anytime to make payments toward your account, helping you stay on track throughout the year without being locked into a formal plan.

    Other options are available as well — some customers choose to use a credit card to earn rewards, or mail in a monthly check (for example, $200/month starting in May).

    If we’re ever able to offer a structured plan that truly benefits our customers without adding extra cost, we absolutely will. For now, we’ve found that these flexible options — especially using the online portal — give you the most control and value.

​​Smith & Sons Fuels accepts cash,  ach checks, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover on or before the delivery.

  • Cash

    We happily accept cash payments.

    Please make sure you have exact change & that you place your cash in an envelope with your name on it.

    You can save 5 cents per gallon if you ask about the cash discount when you place your order.

    You can drop cash off prior to the delivery, or you can hide the cash in a safe location for the driver if you don't plan to be home between 7:30 am-4 pm.

  • Checks

    Checks should be made out to Smith & Sons Fuels. You can pre-pay by check at our office on Route 30 in Mayfield or give our driver a check. 

    Please note: If you write "for deposit only" only Smith & Sons Fuels can deposit it. Business checks can not be cashed so this method of payment is very secure.

  • Credit/Debit Cards

    Visa, MasterCard, and Discover are all accepted at no additional charge to our customers.

    For our customers security valid mailing address, security code, and expiration date are required. We are PCI DDS security compliant.

    Please know there is a $30 fee for any valid orders via credit card transactions that are refuted.
